Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) city President Najeeb Mulla, an accused in the builder Suraj Parmar suicide case, on Tuesday resigned from his post.
Mulla submitted his resignation to state president Sunil Tatkare through a letter.
However, it is not yet clear if the party high-command has accepted his resignation.
The Bombay High Court today refused to give anticipatory bail to Mulla including three other corporators in connection with the Parmar suicide case, and directed them to surrender on Saturday.
